A lot of people have questions before they order, especially with custom paint by numbers. That’s normal. Some want to know if their photo will work. Others just want to know what comes in the kit, how long it takes, or what happens if something arrives wrong.

So instead of making you dig through everything, we grouped the most useful questions in the order people usually ask them.

Before you order

What is a paint by numbers kit?

A paint by numbers kit is a pre-printed canvas divided into numbered sections. Each number matches a paint color, so you simply paint each area with the matching shade.

Is it beginner-friendly?

Yes. Most people start with no real painting experience. The canvas already guides you, so you do not need to sketch or guess where colors go.

How does it work?

Each canvas is printed with numbered sections. Every number matches one of the paint pots included in your kit. You fill each area with its matching color, little by little, until the image comes together.

What comes in the kit?

Each kit includes:

  • A numbered linen canvas
  • A set of numbered acrylic paints
  • 3 paint brushes in different sizes
  • A hanging kit
  • The number of paint colors can vary depending on the design.

How long does it take to finish?

That depends on the size, the design, and how often you paint. Some people finish in a few evenings. Others take a couple of weeks. In reality, most people enjoy doing it bit by bit.

Do I need to frame it?

No. You can hang it as it is, frame it later, or keep it rolled until you are ready.

About custom photo kits

What kind of photo works best?

Clear, bright photos usually work best. Close-up shots with good lighting tend to give the cleanest result.

Is my photo good enough?

A good photo should be sharp, well lit, and not too busy in the background. Dark photos, blurry photos, or pictures taken against strong light usually do not turn out as well.

How many people can be in one photo?

For the best detail, we usually suggest no more than 4 to 5 people in one image, especially if you want faces to stay clear.

Can I use pet photos too?

Yes. Pet portraits are one of the most popular custom options. A close-up with natural light usually works best.

What happens if my photo is not suitable?

We review new custom orders and may contact you if a different photo is needed. That said, it still helps to upload the best one you have from the start, because a low-quality photo will not turn into a high-detail design.

Will my painting look exactly like my photo?

Not exactly. It will be based on your photo, but it still has to be simplified into paintable sections. At some point, you realize that the best custom kits are the ones with a clear subject and simple lighting.

Can I get a refund if I upload a poor photo?

If we let you know the photo may not work well and you still choose to proceed, we cannot offer a refund based on the final look. The uploaded photo matters a lot.

Orders, production, and tracking

How long does it take to make my order?

Most kits are made to order. Production usually takes a few business days before shipping, especially for custom designs.

Will I get a tracking number?

Yes. Once your order ships, we will email you a tracking number.

Why has my tracking not updated yet?

Tracking sometimes takes a little time to refresh, especially right after the parcel is handed over, during customs checks, or when carriers are busy. A short delay in updates is fairly common.

I ordered more than one item. Will they arrive together?

Usually yes, but sometimes not. If one item is ready before the other, we may ship them separately.

What if I entered the wrong address?

Contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to update the address before the order ships. Once it has already been processed or dispatched, changes may not be possible.

My tracking says delivered, but I cannot find my package

Check around your mailbox, door, reception area, or with neighbors first. Then contact the carrier. If you still cannot find it, email us and we will guide you from there.

Payments, changes, and cancellations

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major debit and credit cards, along with PayPal.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Yes, but only before it has been processed. If you need to change something, email us as soon as possible.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of placing the order. Please email [email protected]
with the subject line CANCEL ORDER and include your order number.

Can I cancel a custom kit?

Only before production begins. Once a custom kit has entered production, it can no longer be cancelled.

Can shipped orders be cancelled?

No. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

If something arrives wrong

I received the wrong item

It does not happen often, but if it does, contact us and we will fix it at no extra cost.

My item arrived damaged

Email us with clear photos of the issue and your order number. We will review it and arrange a replacement or another solution depending on the case.

I am missing an accessory or part of the kit

Let us know what is missing, and we will help sort it out.

I ran out of paint

Paint coverage can vary by color. If you run out, contact us and we can send extra paint.

My canvas has dents or creases

Minor dents can usually be smoothed out at home. If the canvas is badly damaged, contact us with photos and we will review it.

Returns, exchanges, and refunds

What is your return policy?

Unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery as long as they are still in original condition and packaging.

Can I return a custom kit?

Custom kits cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or have a production defect.

Do you offer exchanges?

Yes. If you need help exchanging an item, email us and we will guide you through it.

When will I receive my refund?

Once the returned item is received and checked, refunds are usually issued within 5 business days to the original payment method.

Who pays return shipping?

If a return is approved, we may provide a prepaid label in some cases. International return shipping is usually paid by the customer.

What if my package is lost in transit?

All orders include package protection. If your package is confirmed lost in transit, contact us and we will review the case and help with a replacement or refund where applicable.
